Clean the filters.

Open the indoor unit, slide the filters out and rinse them under a tap. Let them dry fully before refitting.

Clear the outdoor unit.

Pull leaves and dust off the coil and make sure nothing is blocking the airflow around it.

Check the mode and settings.

Controllers get bumped. Confirm it is actually in cooling, at a sensible set point, with the fan on rather than off.

If the room is still warm after that, the fault is inside the system and it is our turn.
